The Georgian Bay Biosphere is tasking the public to get rid of phragmites.
That’s why they’re hosting a workshop at Canadore college on April 28th on how to identify and remove those invasive plant species.
A phragmite is an invasive European reed that is common in Georgian Bay.
It kills and crowds out native plants.
The workshop will be free for members of council and the public.
