OPP in Parry Sound are warning snowmobilers, the ice still isn’t safe to take a chance on.
Unseasonably mild temperatures have been hanging around the district for the past few weeks.
This has left most areas where ice would usually form very unstable and slushy.
There have already been a few incidents reported where snowmobilers went through the ice this January.
Police say if you absolutely must go out on the ice, make sure to be wearing a buoyant snow suit and carry ice picks.
