An 82-year-old Powassan man is dead after his tractor crashed through the ice.
Eugene Kunkel was operating his tractor at the Hydro Pond in Powassan.
According to reports Kunkel’s tractor broke through the ice with the driver still inside.
He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they don’t know why Kunkel was using his tractor on the ice.
