Waterfront Advisory Committee meets in Parry Sound

The first Waterfront Advisory Committee meeting of the year happened in Parry Sound.

In the meeting last night, councillors and city workers discussed ways to improve the waterfront, particularly in the downtown area.

The ideas floated in the meeting ranged from painting over faded murals on the beach to new signage to beautification plans.

A letter from Shawanaga first nation was read at the last council meeting expressing interest in exploring the the possibility of building a casino and conference centre along the Parry Sound waterfront.
