Health Canada has issued a statement warning against the improper use of a hormone disorder treatment for weight loss.
The statement comes after Health Canada received several complaints that clinics were advertising HCG as a weight loss drug.
According to the statement HCG is not effective as a weight loss tool. It also has several dangerous side effects.
Health Canada says they will take action if they see any further misuse of the HCG drug.
