The OPP is reporting an attempted phone scam in Collingwood.
Last week, a woman in Collingwood was contacted multiple times from a number masquerading as a water utility company.
The caller claimed the victim’s water bill was in arrears – and threatened to put a lien on their house if it was not paid.
The customer called her utility company and confirmed she was being scammed.
No personal or banking information was given to the scammer.
