Ontario investing in programs to help stop smoking

The government is looking at new ways to help people stop smoking.

They will be testing new “quit cards” for patients leaving 80 hospitals across the province.

These quit cards can be used at any pharmacy for free nicotine replacement therapy.

The smoking rate in Ontario is dropping.

Nearly a quarter of Ontarians smoked in 2010, but now it is closer to one in six.
