CUPE and Children’s Aid Society back at the bargaining table

For the first time since Dec 20 – CUPE and Children’s Aid Society representatives will meet.

Parry Sound and Nipissing Children’s Aid workers have been locked out since December 23.

The director of the Nipissing and Parry Sound CAS says they are looking forward resuming negotiations and getting their employees back to work.

Talks initially broke down over several issues, including the increasing workload given to the support workers.

CUPE issued a statement saying their workers are happy their representatives have returned to the bargaining table and added they are eager to get back to work.
