Windy weather leading to power outages in the region

Along with the snowy weather and possibly icy conditions tonight, we’re expecting to see some heavy winds in Parry Sound.

Environment Canada has predicted we could see the winds gust up to 70 km/h by tonight.

With this we could be seeing some power outages around the Parry Sound region.

Here is a list of all the reported outages in the region and estimated restoration times:

  • a power outage is Mactier is affecting around 20 people. ETR is 7:00pm
  • a power outage on Chief’s Island is affecting around 20 people. ETR: 4:00pm
  • a power outage near Depot Harbour on Parry island is affecting around 20 people. ETR is 7:45 PM
  • a power outage in Seguin is affecting 25 people. Estimated restoration is 7:15 pm
