CUPE Local 2049 is holding a picket line Christmas morning outside the CAS Parry Sound office following a lockout on December 23rd.
On December 20th talks broke down between the two sides and a letter issued from CAS administration earlier in the month suggested workers would be locked out.
Picketers will be meeting at 11:00am in front of the office on Church Street.
Negotiations have been strained between the two sides as CUPE representatives believe administration is putting too much work on its front line workers.
CAS Executive Director Gisele Herbert did speak to Moose FM earlier in the month, saying the caseloads have actually been on the decline since the beginning of the year.
Administration has not responded to Moose FM on these latest developments.
