West Parry Sound OPP has charged a Parry Sound woman for allegedly marrying two couples without authorization.
The 42-year-old faces charges of pretending to officiate a marriage, forging documents and theft.
Police were called to investigate when two couples in the area contacted officers both saying they hadn’t received their marriage certificates.
The accused woman is believed to have presided over both of these weddings in February and June this year.
She will appear in court in Parry Sound on December 15th.
