The North East Local Health Integration Network is putting some more funding into the West Parry Sound Health Centre.
As part of a $7.7 million increase in funding from the Ontario government, the LHIN is spreading that out among its sub region hospitals.
This includes Parry Sound with just over $500,000 being added to the annual funds from the LHIN.
Officials say the increase in funding is necessary due to the larger demand for hospital services from the growing and aging population.
