Planning Together for Safer Communities. That’s the theme police agencies have adopted as we celebrate Crime Prevention Week all this week. OPP branches have been working on making communities safer by preventing serious situations from escalating. They’re doing that by tapping into the expertise social service groups have who can help them with troubled people. Also involved in the initiative are community agencies. The OPP believe by having all three groups working together, it’s possible to stop serious matters from growing.
