A Celebration Garden will be planted in Parry Sound

The Town of Parry Sound is getting over 1000 tulip bulbs to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary.

The town was one of 150 recipients of the 150th Celebration Gardens from Vasey’s Bulbs which will include 500 red bulbs and 500 white bulbs.  The Celebration Garden will also include 150 white and red bulbs from Home Hardware Parry Sound.

All the bulbs will be planted at the Gazebo Parkette at the corner of Bowes Street and Great North Road this Saturday beginning at 10:00am.  The planting ceremony is being coordinated by the Parry Sound District Horticulture Society volunteers as well as many other community partners and everyone is invited to come and help.
