A pair of local girls are hoping to travel to South America to teach skipping to under-privileged youth.
Krystyn Hrycyna and Jocey Simon are planning to travel to Colombia to visit a drug rehabilitation centre for two weeks where they would teach about 30 boys and girls aged 12-18 how to skip.
The trip is going to cost each girl from the SOAR Rope Jumping team about $2,000 and Seguin council voted to help by donating $500 to the cause. Â The girls have a fundraising webpage and are also hosting fundraising events.’
