Rising hydro costs the big topic of the Liberal’s Throne Speech

Not a lot of detail reveled in the Liberal’s Throne Speech at Queen’s Park.  Yesterday, Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norm Miller said the Liberals mentioned things like healthcare, education, and infrastructure, but didn’t provide much detail on how they will be addressing those issues.

Miller says he felt the Liberal government seemed to be hitting the reset button.  The Liberals lost the Scarborough-Rouge River by-election recently and Miller believes they took notice about one of the biggest issues facing Ontarians.

He says the Liberals announced that starting January 1st, the provincial portion of the HST will be removed from hydro bills, which is something the PCs have been asking for, but it’s really bittersweet.

He goes on to say that when it comes to issues like healthcare, education, and infrastructure, the Throne Speech didn’t provide any formal action and everyone will have to wait until Bills are brought forward to find out what they have planned.
