The local sub-region of the North East LHIN has a new Primary Care Lead. Family physician out of Sudbury, Dr. Jason Sutherland is the new Primary Care Lead for the Sudbury/Manitoulin/Parry Sound Sub-Region.
In this part-time position, Dr. Sutherland will look closely at local performance data to find ways to ensure patients receive quality, evidence-based care. He says he looks forward to working with the many system partners to find ways to create more patient-centred care, while striving to build efficiencies into our existing primary care models.
CEO of the North East LHIN Louise Paquette says Dr. Sutherland’s wide-ranging experience, from primary care to teaching and publishing, brings helpful perspective to the work needed to ensure quality care for Northerners.
In addition to this new LHIN leadership role, Dr. Sutherland will continue to care for patients in his practice with the City of Lakes Family Health Team.
