Town council has approved negotiations with Seguin for a boundary adjustment

A negotiating team is ready to discuss the boundary adjustment request between Seguin and the Town of Parry Sound.  Town council approved for negotiations to begin with Seguin at Tuesday night’s meeting, using the 2012 Boundary Adjustment Agreement as a template.  The negotiating team will consist of the Mayor Jamie McGarvey, CAO Rob Mens, Principle Planner Taylor Elgie and councillors Keith Saulnier and Jim Marshall.  One condition in the previous agreement was a two thirds majority being reached among land owners, but this boundary adjustment is just speaking to four properties along the boundary that are in favour of being a part of the Town of Parry Sound.
