Our Health Centre has received a rebate from Lakeland Power

A rebate of close to $15,000 has been received by the Health Centre from Lakeland Power.  The rebate came through the Save on Energy program for electrical conservation from two major lighting projects completed since early last year at the West Parry Sound Health Centre.  These retrofit projects are predicted to reduce the Health Centre’s consumption annually by about 187,000 kilowatt hours (kWh), according to calculations made by Lakeland Power.  West Parry Sound Health Centre and Lakeland Long Term Care CEO Donald Sanderson says this rebate and incentive program comes at a critical time as we work to find sustainable savings within the health centre’s operating budget.  Lakeland Power recently entered into the Independent Electricity System Operator’s new Conservation First Framework, and are set to reduce over 15 Gigawatts (GW) of energy.
