A man from Parry Sound is facing attempted murder charges in relation to a shooting in Wahnapitae. On Friday, Greater Sudbury Police Service was called to a shooting in Wahnapitae where a man suffered serious injuries from a gunshot wound. Two men took off in a vehicle which was later recovered by police along with a gun that was thrown away near the vehicle. Police arrested two men in connection to the shooting, with one being the man from Parry Sound, and charged them both with attempted murder.
They will both appear in bail court today.
Meanwhile, police continue to look for more people involved and are releasing very little information at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation.
