The Fire Danger Rating in West Parry Sound has been lowered. The region was evaluated this morning after a weekend full of rain and Fire Coordinator Chief Brian Leduc confirms that enough rain fell to allow the Fire Danger Rating to be downgraded to High. Under a High rating, burn permits are still suspended, but campfires for cooking, warmth, and recreation are allowed. Always check with your local municipal fire department if you have any questions before you burn. The region will be re-evaluated again on Thursday.
