Parry Sound is getting another electric vehicle charger courtesy of the province. Ontario is working with 24 public and private-sector partners to build close to 500 charging stations at 250 locations creating a network of public charging electric vehicle stations. The charging station in Parry Sound will be installed at the McDonalds on Bowes Street and will be a Level 3 EVSE which has a charging time of 64 kilometres every 10 minutes. There will also be a charging station in Burk’s Falls at the Tim Horton’s on Commercial Drive as well as two in Gravenhurst and one in Huntsville. The province’s $20-million investment under the Green Investment Fund will expand charging infrastructure across the province and will help address ‘range anxiety’ which is a common concern of consumers.
