A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the grader will help pave Tait’s Island Road. The sale generated $68,000 of which McKellar council approved $14,000 to go toward the paving of Tait’s Island Road and the rest to go into the Public Works Equipment Reserve fund. The paving was dropped from this year’s budget, but at last night’s meeting approved to use a portion of the proceeds from the grader sale to go toward it. The suggestion for this came from the Public Works Superintendent.
