Almaguin Highlands OPP says 116 tickets were handed out during the Canada Day long weekend.  Police say from last Friday to Sunday, several charges were handed out to drivers on local roads.  Charges ranged from failure to wear a seat belt, impaired or suspended driving and drug-related offences.  Police also handed tickets to boaters on the water for towing without a spotter, small vessel regulations and impaired driving.  Officers also conducted just over 30 hours of R.I.D.E. and checking just over 400 vehicles.
