MP trying to help local frustrated volunteers bring Syrian families to Canada

Parry Sound Muskoka MP Tony Clement is showing support for local groups looking to support Syrian Refugee Families.  Since one family was brought to Gravenhurst, the Canadian Government has suddenly bottle-necked the approval process on allowing new refugees into Canada.  This is because the original goal of 25,000 families was reached and extra resources funneled into the project have been pulled back.  But, there are still groups across Canada, with three in Muskoka and one in Parry Sound, waiting to bring families they’ve been paired with to their new home.  Clement called out the Liberal government in a statement released on Thursday to once again accelerate the process of bringing families to groups that have already raised the money to bring them here.
