A regional marketing plan has been developed for the Parry Sound Area. Last week at their meeting, the Regional Economic Development Advisory Committee received and supported the marketing plan from the consulting firm hired to put it together. The next step is to have the plan endorsed by all partner municipalities at a special meeting at the Bobby Orr Community Centre on July 21st. Also at that meeting, the municipalities will also be presented with a Tourism Summit Report. Yesterday morning, Seguin clerk Craig Jeffery suggested that council go to the meeting to receive information and ask questions about both items and then discuss them at a regular meeting of council at a later date. Council agreed and will attend the meeting, but not make any decisions on the plan until a following meeting.
