For the 13th year in a row, 32 teams are set to Rally Against Cancer Hardcore

The 13th annual RACH 3-pitch tournament kicks off today.  Opening ceremonies and ceremonial first pitch of the 32-team tournament will take place at 5:45pm at Kinsmen Park followed by the popular pickerel fish fry.

This year, the tournament’s goal is to raise $70,000 for the RACH Fund which goes directly to the research into brain cancer and Image Guided Therapeutics of Dr. Jonathan Irish and his researchers.  Irish is the Chief of the Department of Surgical Oncology at the University of Health Network.

The tournament was started by Rachel Higgins and continued in her honour.  Since it began in 2004, it has raised over $794,000 to the RACH fund.  Visit www.rachfund.com to learn more or donate.
