Over 10,000 books are ready to be distributed to local children in need

Local children in need will get reading material for the summer.  Thanks to a partnership between Canadore College and First Book Canada, over 10,000 free books arrived at the West Parry Sound campus this week for distribution into the community.  The Books on Wheels program ran for the first in Parry Sound last year and Canadore Campus Office Manager and Project Lead Laura Peddie says it was a success.

Peddie says last year was such a success and this year over 20 community groups registered.

She hopes this event becomes a tradition in Parry Sound.

Books range from pre-school titles to young adult novels with a wide variety of genres.
