A missing canoer on Georgian Bay has been found dead. Efforts from police to find the missing 57-year-old came to a conclusion this afternoon when the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit found the man’s body near where the boating equipment was found floating north of Pointe au Baril. The man has been identified as Donald McVicar of Collingwood and a post mortem will be conducted at the Centre of Forensic Science in Toronto. When police found the man he was not wearing a life jacket and the investigation into his death is ongoing.
