A brand new piece has been written specifically for Parry Sound area students. From May 9th-13th, the Festival of the Sound’s Music Scores program ran once again providing great music education and performances for over 650 students. Festival regular Guy Few was joined by Rachel Thomas and Olivia Esther and the trio visited 10 area schools. For the first time ever a piece was written by Olivia Esther specifically for the Music Scores program to engage the students and show them the dimensions of sound and music. It was recorded on the Friday performance at the Stockey Centre with the assistance of the students being the ‘cogs and instruments of machines’.
