Off Road Vehicles are now allowed on Town of Parry Sound streets. Town council voting in favour of a by-law at last night’s meeting that allows ATVs and side-by-sides on town streets. The by-law clearly states that Off Road Vehicles are not allowed on the Fitness Trail or other recreational trails in town and Councillor Bonnie Keith says the key to making this work is signage and education.
Town of Parry Sound Principal Planner Taylor Elgie says Off Road Vehicle users must follow the rules laid out by the Ministry of Transportation.
The by-law takes effect beginning this morning and will be on a one year trial period with reports coming back to council in November and March.
