Our MPP is pleased to see the passing of Bill 100

Ontario has passed legislation that will sustain and improve trails in Parry Sound and Muskoka.  The Supporting Ontario Trails Act, 2016 passed final reading yesterday that will protect and enhance thousands of kilometres of the province’s urban, suburban, rural and remote land and water trails while also encouraging its expansion.  Parry Sound Muskoka MPP Norm Miller says there was some confusion around the bill last year which caused some local land owners to not permit snowmobile trials on their property in opposition.  Miller says the PC Critic was able to successfully add amendments and clarification right in the bill.

Miller says he’s always supported trails in the region.

He goes on to say that it will also help bring people to our region.

Protecting and improving Ontario trails is part of the government’s economic plan to build Ontario up and deliver on its number-one priority to grow the economy and create jobs.
