A local women’s services organization has received funding from the Ontario Women’s Directorate. Over $210,000 was announced on Friday for two groups by Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli. The Business Centre of Nipissing and Parry Sound received close to $24,000 to continue delivering the Microlending for Women in Ontario Program. Nipissing First Nation received just over $187,000 to continue delivering the Employment Training for Abused/At-risk Women program. The Ontario Women’s Directorate works with women’s organizations across the province to advance women’s equality, support their safety, and improve their economic security.
