The annual pond hockey championships in Huntsville have been cancelled. Organizers with the 2016 Canadian National Pond Hockey Championships have cancelled the event due to weather conditions. The past temperatures have hovered around the zero degree mark, Founder of the event, Neil Lumsden says the conditions have not been safe in the past few days.
The championship was supposed to be held at Deerhurst Resort and Lumsden says the management staff is working to create a plan to accommodate guests who have been affected by the cancellation.
