Rail and bus mechanics at Ontario Northland returned back to the work yesterday. The agreement between Unifor and the rail company was officially ratified Monday night. Eighty-eight per cent of members voted in the favour of the agreement. There will be an immediate wage increase for skilled trades followed by annual improvements of two per cent. Contracts expire On December 31st, 2018. The new agreement affects nearly 200 employees at the rail company.
