Almaguin Highlands OPP has laid 25 seatbelt charges in their Fall Seatbelt Campaign. Police say the campaign began on September 23rd and ended on Friday. They say so far this year 42 people have been killed on roads in the area who were not wearing a seatbelt. During the week of September 7th to 13th, seven people were killed in car crashes where six of them were not wearing their seatbelts. The OPP is reminding everyone it is the law to wear a seatbelt while in a vehicle.
