Many people took advantage of the advanced polls over the holiday weekend. Here in Parry Sound-Muskoka, returning officer Kim Bordeleau says that the number of voters attending advanced pools was well above average. Bordeleau says there were long lines at different times throughout the weekend with Friday seeing a surge of voters, Saturday and Sunday being less busy, and then the numbers picked up again on Monday. For those who missed the advanced polls over the weekend can still vote today until 6:00pm at the returning office at the Summit Centre in Hunstville or the satellite office on Seguin Street in Parry Sound. If you can’t make it today, you’ll have to wait until Election Day, October 19th.
