Heritage Day and Firefighter Challenge

This year’s celebration will be much bigger with a vendors market and a staged area with live music. Meet the Algonquin Regiment from North Bay, visit the Reptile Camp and have your picture taken as you dress up as a fun historical figure. At high noon, teams of firefighters will converge on the farm field to test their skill, strength, agility and stamina. This event offers an opportunity for the public to interact with fire crews and witness the demands of being a firefighter. Throughout the day, children are encouraged to participate in the mini-firefighter challenge course, titled the “Crawl, Drag & Squirt.”
