The Parry Sound Salvation Army thrift story is in urgent need of volunteers.
That’s according to officials, who said the local organization is currently operating with a smaller staff than they’d like, but that their budget won’t allow for the hiring of additional help. They are reaching out to the community, to see if anyone is willing to give a few hours of their time each week or month to help out.
Volunteer opportunities include sorting donations and pricing merchandise, to helping customers, or working behind the scenes.
Officials said every volunteer hour helps keep the store running, and supports affordable shopping in the community.
