Parry Sound Chamber of Commerce bowling tournament raises $2,000 for The Drop

The Parry Sound Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual bowling tournament raised $2,000 for The Drop Parry Sound.

Officials say the event, held March 9th, brought together local businesses, community members, and supporters for an evening of bowling and fun – all in support of local youth programming.

The Drop Parry Sound is a vital community organization that provides a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for youth ages 12–20. Through mentorship opportunities, workshops, events, and supportive programming, The Drop helps empower local youth while addressing important challenges such as mental health, social isolation, unemployment, and substance abuse.

“The work being done by The Drop has a meaningful impact on young people throughout our region,” said representatives from the Chamber of Commerce. “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in the tournament and helped make this donation possible.”

Earlier this year, Drop officials reached out to the community for support, saying without it, they may have to close their doors. Those interested in supporting The Drop Parry Sound can do so by making donations directly through their website at www.thedropparrysound.com.
