Homes in Parry Sound sold for an average of $461,000 in December

Real estate prices across the Town of Parry Sound rebounded in December.

That’s according to the OnePoint Association of Realtors, who released December sales statistics on Jan. 5.

Last month, four homes sold in Parry Sound with an average sale price of $461,000. Officials say that’s a 20 percent decrease from November, when 12 homes sold with an average sale price of $553,000. However, it’s a 28 percent increase from October’s benchmark price of $333,000.

Across the rest of the West Parry Sound District, benchmark home prices declined around four percent.

Average sale prices vary from $978,000 in Seguin Township, to 721,000 in Carling Township, to $603,000 in McKellar.

CORRECTION: We mistakenly wrote that the average sale prices for homes in Parry Sound increased from November to December. That is incorrect. Homes sold in town in November at an average price of $553,000 – an 20 per cent increase from the month before. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
