Online fundraiser launched to help elderly couple displaced by Beatty Street fire

An online fundraiser has been launched to help an elderly couple who lost everything in a house fire in Parry Sound on Nov. 19.

The fire, which occurred on Beatty Street, destroyed two garages and a house.

The home belonged to Rosemary and Richard Parnham. Their daughter Mary says her parents lost their home, car and all of their belongings in the fire, and have been forced to start over.

As of 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 24, the online fundraiser has generated more than $2,700 of a $7,000 goal.
