PS High School lockdown lifted, no threat to public safety

The lockdown issued this morning at Parry Sound High School is in longer in effect. 

The local OPP detachment says officers responded to the school on Isabella street around 8:45 Thursday morning in relation to threats made by a student.

Police say school protocol was followed and a lockdown ensued. According to the OPP, the lockdown was then lifted after officers located the student responsible for the threat. 

Police say there is no threat to public safety, adding that the incident is still under investigation and further information will be provided when it becomes available.
