Winter weather travel advisory for our region

Environment Canada has issued a Winter weather travel advisory for our region.

Snow, heavy at times, with accumulations of 10 to 20 cm. Local blowing snow through the day.

A break in the heavier snow is expected through Wednesday morning, but lake effect snow is expected to develop in the afternoon and continue into the early evening.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. If you must drive, be prepared for areas of poor visibility. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
