Wasauksing Elementary School and Little Eagle Child Care Centre are closed until at least next Monday. (Jan.24th)
Officials say that’s because they’ve been made aware of a cluster of COVID-19 cases that may be connected to both the school or child care centre.
Along with the closures comes the cancellation of the Wasauksing Bus until next Monday as well, which includes the run to Parry Sound Intermediate and High School. Officials say students who can get to the school despite the bus cancellation can do so or else they can contact administration for help to know what’s next.
The First Nation says it is working closely with the First Nation Inuit Health Branch and is monitoring the situation. All close contact have been contacted.
