PS Rotary Club Christmas Turkey Hamper back on

The Parry Sound Rotary Club’s annual Christmas Turkey Hamper has officially kicked off.

For many years now, the Rotary Club partnered with Harry’s No Frills, the Salvation Army, and Crofters to donate turkey hampers to families in our area who are in need.

Sharon Ranney, Director of Club Services, says a donation of $35 would buy potatoes, onions, carrots, cranberries, stuffing, gravy mix, and a turkey that would cover a family of six.

“Our goal here is to feed a hundred families. We are asking people in the area if they could possibly donate to this cause that’s very needed at this time and if you feel the need, you can drop a check off here at the Rotary Club,” she says.

Ranney says you can donate through the Parry Sound Rotary trust at the Salvation Army, any Rotarian, at the Above & Beyond on the Main Street, or across the street at Kenny’s shoe store.

She adds you can also donate through the Club’s website right from your living room and all donations would be automatically eligible for a tax credit.
