UPDATE – Monday, October 4th
The OPP’s West Parry Sound Detachment says the community responded generously to the Thanksgiving Food Bank drive this past weekend.
The detachment says a generous amount of food and over $2000 in cash were donated.
The food bank responded by saying “This will allow many locals to have a Happy Thanksgiving”.

The OPP’s West Parry Sound Detachment will be collecting food and other items on Saturday in support of the Parry Sound Food Banks.

The local detachment will be accepting all non-perishable food items, canned items, cereal, pasta, sauce, juice, children’s snacks and condiments.
Collections will take place at Sobeys on 25 Pine Drive and Harry’s No Frills at 60 Joseph Street from 10 AM to 3 PM.
