At approximately 9 AM on Thursday, a Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) train derailed between Oakridge Road and Felsman Drive in Nobel.

The Municipality of McDougall released a memo shortly after the incident confirming that emergency crews are on the scene assessing the situation.

The memo adds that the CP crossing at Oakridge Road is blocked because of the derailment.

According to unconfirmed listener reports, the derailment included up to 30 cars with the engines able to move out and no oil tankers were spotted.
