The local OPP detachment says officers have responded to an increased number of possible overdoses in the region this week.
Between Thursday and Saturday, West Parry Sound OPP officers responded to three separate suspected drug overdoses, two of which were fatal.
On Thursday, around 3:30 a.m., a 27-year-old person from Carling Township was found deceased due to a suspected drug overdose.
On Saturday at about 2:40 a.m., a 45-year-old person from Parry Sound was also found deceased due to a suspected drug overdose.
Later that same day around 11:30 a.m. a 24-year-old person from Seguin Township was found unresponsive and transported to hospital by Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
Police say they are still investigating, asking anyone with information surrounding the three incidents to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or the nearest police authority.
