Eight new cases of COVID-19 from Parry Sound Wednesday

Eight new cases of COVID-19 and one recovery were reported from Parry Sound today(Wednesday) placing the district at 19 active cases including one in hospital.

The sudden increase in cases also comes with four more individuals from Parry Sound screening positive for a variant of concern. 

The health unit reported no new cases and one recovery from Nipissing which now stands at three active cases. 

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit gave out another 690 first doses of a COVID-19 vaccine with a little under half of our region’s adults having received at least one shot.
